The April meeting will be at Aquatic Marine reef store on Saturday, April 17, from 12 to 4pm. This is a great meeting to attend for those who were thinking of joining the club. Meeting Minutes April 17, 2010
The April 2010 meeting was graciously hosted and refreshments provided by Aquatic Marine.
Members in attendance were:
Eddie, Dave and Barbara, Scott, Jeff, David, Janie, Dana, Matt J., Travis, Paul, James M., Burton and Jenna, Michelle and Keith, Brent and Melissa, Seth, Spenser, and James K.
We opened the meeting with a unique round of introductions where each person drew varying lengths of string. Then they introduced themselves while wrapping the string around their finger and had to talk as long as the string lasted. We had a lot of laughs while learning a little about each other. That wasn’t so hard was it Trent!
The proposed revisions to the club Constitution and By Laws was our topic of discussion. Eddie presented the revisions with an explanation of why the BOD thought these changes would benefit the club. Dave and Scott gave some suggestions for editing of these revisions, then each one was brought to a vote separately with all being passed. These will now be posted within the next few days on our private forum on Reef2Reef for the members not in attendance to vote. Voting will remain open for two weeks or until all eligible members have cast their vote, which ever comes first.
The highlight of the meeting was Mark’s (from Aquatic Marine) talk and demonstration on working with Acrylics and sump design. We all gained from his sharing of his knowledge and expertise and thank him for the informative presentation.
We ended the meeting with a drawing for door prizes . Once again we thank Aquatic Marine for their more than generous donations of gift certificates and salt water.
On a bit of a sad note, it was Paul’s last ETRC club meeting before he departs Tennessee to continue his education. We wish him success and happiness. He promised to keep in touch through his posts on line.

Exit 387A and merge onto I-275 N – going toward Lexington
Exit 3 for US-25W N toward Clinton
Left at Clinton Hwy (TN-9 W/US-25W. Go about 4.6 miles
Right at West Beaver Creek Drive (If you get to Quality Pool of Knoxville, you have gone just a little too far. If you get to Emory Road you have gone too far. If you get to Clinton, you had better call Aquatic Marine and get individual directions.
Stay on West Beaver Creek Drive for about .4 miles
Left on Debusk Lane. There is an Aquatic Marine sign.
Follow the signs to Aquatic Marine.

That is a very cool map insert there, Donny. How did you put it in there? I went to edit mode and it looked like some sort of object, but I couldn’t determine how you inserted it. I could see the HTML code, but it would take a little work to replicate that information manually for another address.
Super easy Scott. Just find it on google maps, and then there is a tab in the upper right corner that says Link. Copy the HTML code. Then when you are doing a post, switch it to the HTML setting, and paste the code.
