Our July 2010 meeting was a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokeys with 7 club members and 5 others in attendance. The behind the scenes tour was well worth taking, and found most of us lusting for all their automated moniters and equipment. Afterwards we had an indoor picinic , due to the heat, at Digidana’s. Thank you and Richard for once again being great hosts.

The May meeting will be at David’s (cee) house in Clinton on May 15 at 6:30pm. The main topic will be discussing and planning for the ETRC frag swap in June, but (as usual) newcomers and those interested in joing the club are strongly encouraged to attend. Dave has an incredible SPS dominant tank that is well worth the trip (especially if you have not seen it yet). The April meeting will be at Aquatic Marine reef store on Saturday, April 17, from 12 to 4pm. This is a great meeting to attend for those who were thinking of joining the club. Aquatic Marine is located on 2339 W. Beaver Creek Dr. in the DeRoyal Industrial Complex in Powell (on the North side of Knoxville). Follow this link to the RC discussion forum for more details.
Meeting Minutes April 17, 2010
The April 2010 meeting was graciously hosted and refreshments provided by Aquatic Marine.
Members in attendance were:
Eddie, Dave and Barbara, Scott, Jeff, David, Janie, Dana, Matt J., Travis, Paul, James M., Burton and Jenna, Michelle and Keith, Brent and Melissa, Seth, Spenser, and James K.
We opened the meeting with a unique round of introductions where each person drew varying lengths of string. Then they introduced themselves while wrapping the string around their finger and had to talk as long as the string lasted. We had a lot of laughs while learning a little about each other. That wasn’t so hard was it Trent!
